Allow Windows Phone 8 Development on non-SLAT processors
I'm sure there are many developers out there with "older" systems that are completely capable of running Windows 8 64-bit and Visual Studio 2012 but are not able to develop and test Windows Phone 8 applications because of Microsoft's choice to make the Windows Phone 8 emulator a Hyper-V virtual machine. There should be a mechanism to run the emulator using either VMware Player or VirtualBox which will use SLAT if it's present but will continue to work if it isn't or update Hyper-V to do the same.
I don't understand this choice as I am able to write applications…

IDE for IPhone Apps or Objective C
I think it is good that visual studio can be a IDE for Iphone apps or Objective C as well.
As this will be very helpful for us and avoid us to buy mac. =D36 votes -
Make it possible to intercept calls in Windows Phone API
Android can intercept incoming calls, while WP 7 lacks that feature. One very useful application for this, is to show a warning if you're called by a telemarketer. This sort of app, and the lists of known telemarketers to go with it, is already available for Android in Sweden.

Allow running Windows Phone 8 Emulator on Non Hyper V laptops
Many power Core2Duo laptops could run virtual machines with no pain. It is weird that WP8 emulator runs only on hyper V laptops. We hope you can allow emulator to run on older PCs as it was for WP7.

WP7 Integration for Testing and Building
WP7 is a great plattform for building apps but doing development more professional usages like unitt esting and continues integration is a pain.
I'll expect to integrate the unit testing framework into the VS IDE, automatically launching the emulator or phone to run the test. This should also be integrated in the TFS Build system.20 votes -

Something that would make code more portable for win 7 phones! Other mobile platforms support C++, which makes porting between platforms easier. Look, I'm not espousing love for C++. It's a language with problems, for sure. But for those of us who want to program for multiple platforms, we don't want to have to port between say, C# and Java or, even worse, C# and objective-C. I am aware that there exist C# to objective-C guidelines published by Microsoft, and that Java and C# are relatively easy to port to one another. That's not the point. The point is that…

Access windows Phone API for SMS and make a call direct by code
I would like to suggest that by c# code we get direct access on Win Phone API to send sms, make a phone call, direct by C# code without open the sms screen, for example. In windows mobile 6.5 I can send a sms using only 2 lines. So, in Win Phone I need use Tasks APIs to build a code for send SMS and pass the object to the SMS Screen.
This example could be apply to the others APIs.9 votes -

Improve the Windows Phone emulators so that they can work within a Hyper-V instance
I currently use Hyper-V for various development environments within my enterprise. One pain point I have building Windows Phone apps is the fact that the emulator uses Hyper-V. This creates an issue when I'm in a Hyper-V instance. There are workarounds as documented at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13148828/unable-to-create-the-virtual-machine, but I shouldn't have to follow a work around for what I would assume is a common scenario (common defined as more than 1% of developers not meaning majority).
Please vote for me!

Windows Phone SDK could be already included in VS Pro or higher
I've installed already the VS 2012 RC and noticed that Windows Phone SDK isn't already included. And that is because it isn't avalable yet.
To avoid the bad experience that Windows Phone 7.1 SDK causes to developers that are using VS 2010 Pro and Higher, because that installs a bunch of stuff already installed in VS 2010 Pro and it installs VS 2010 express for phone. Why the **** I need the express over VS Pro??? After 30 days it reminds to register the express edition, really Microsoft??? I'm using the Pro edition!!!6 votes -
add command line support for managing WinPhone8 application install, launch and run.
It is not currently possible (?) to
1) install a WP8 .xap package to a connected WP8 device from the command line
2) execute an installed application on a connected WP8 device from the command line
3) reinstall/uninstall an existing application on a connected WP8 device from the command line
4) receive stdout and stderr or other form of logging (OutputDebugString?) from native C/C++/C++CX applications running on a connected WP8 device on the command line. These are all extremely important features for continuous unit testing, and primitive requirements for being able to automate WP8 ports of existing software for detecting…

Make WinPhone8 JavaScript Debugging Work (set breakpoints and step) for HMTL5/JS/CSS apps (nothing else - no workers)
I can't figure this out, and nobody at Microsoft has been able to tell me either despite spending 250$ to not find out.
In VS2010 with Phone SDK 7 on Win 7 I was able to set breakpoints and debug javascript. It worked well and is absolutely necessary if you want to build cross platform code.
Now I migrated up to Win8 and javascript debugging doesn't work at all.
I has since given up on developing for WinPhone and will target the others because they have development environments that work.
What is going on MS?
Why can't we debug js,…

Add Mono support to Visual Studio
It would be great if Visual Studio natively supported Mono* projects (Mono for Android and MonoTouch) without having to use Extensions and hack files.

Hyper-V should stop blocking my laptops power management

http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w8itprogeneral/thread/6f383b2a-3a4a-472f-a966-cda0ce646e37Win Phone 8 SDK requires Hyper-V. Hyper-V disables CPU throttling I don't know the specifics of the details of what is happening behind the scenes, but I can observe what happens on my laptop before and after installing Win Phone 8 SDK.
After installing the SDK, I can observe that my CPU Frequency in Resource Monitor no longer fluctuates, it stays steady at my CPU's rated speed. Additionally, when I perform any CPU-intensive task, my CPU temp goes to 95 Celsius, whereas it used to stick around 80 Celsius before the…
