I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".
(thinking…)

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. Increase the maximum length of the name of a topic subscription

Currently, the name of a subscriber to an Azure Service Bus topic is limited to 50 characters. We would like to use very descriptive names for our subscribers, and these names might exceed 50 characters. Please increase the maximum length of this value.

    • Improve SQL Azure support within VS2013

I've setup a Cloud Service and can see that just fine via the Azure tools within VS2013. Same goes for storage and websites. They all show just fine, but my SQL Azure databases do not show up. I am able to add them manually via "data connections", so the firewall is setup appropriately, but eh Azure tools do not see them.

      • Trace.CorrelationManager.ActivityId as a column in the WADLogsTable

There should be a way for Trace.CorrelationManager.ActivityId to automatically be included as a column in the WADLogsTable when using System.Diagnostics tracing with Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Diagnostics.DiagnosticMonitorTraceListener as the listener. With the current set of WADLogsTable columns, it does not seem possible to query for all log entries related to one request.

        • Make Logging in to Azure from Visual Studio work when using 2 factor identification for your Microsoft Account

I can't login to the Azure Tools for Visual Studio. I've got 2 factor authentication set up for my Microsoft Account.

I get sent to the page that tells me to wait for the app to allow. I allow the access, then I get sent back to the login screen again! So annoying!

Does nobody on the Azure Tools for Visual Studio team use "two step authentication?" http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/two-step-verification-faq

This is dead simple to reproduce.

          1. Have an azure account tied to a two-step authentication enabled Microsoft Account.
          2. Try to use that account in Visual Studio.

            • Allow to connect multiple accounts for Azure in Server Explorer

I have two separated accounts to manage Azure subscriptions and currently I need to sign out my first account and sign in my second account on the Azure node in Server Explorer.

Why can I use multiple accounts without having to sign out and sign in everytime?

              • HDInsight Tools for Visual Studio - Create HDInsight Cluster - Specify Cluster Type

When creating a new Cluster using the 'Azure HDInsight Create Cluster Task' in HDInsight Tools for Visual Studio it is not currently possible to specify the cluster type.

Can this please be added to the Expressions at least so that this is possible to do in SSIS.

                • Azure REST API + SDK: Batching of Queue Put and Delete

Queue operations in Windows Azure have limited IO (2k/sec) because the queue lives in one partition.

For other storage operations we would be able to work around this limit by using batching. But Put and Delete on the Queue REST API (and therefore the Azure SDK) is missing batch operations (which should be possible since it is on the same partition). Please add these possibilities.

                  • add the ability for Visual Studio Online to reply to a work item alert and the reply text be added as a discussion comment to the work item

I want to be able to reply to a work item alert via email and the text that I write in reply be added as a comment in the discussion section of the work item.

This would be used when some comments on a work item you get alerts for or if someone directly tags you using the "@userid" format. Thus allowing users to quickly comment and add feedback without having to go to the work item.

                      • Make VS aware of what is installed/availeble in/on a VM, CS, WebsSite in Azure and automatically include everything that is missing

With the osFamily defined for a role there should be no problem finding out what exactly is available on VMs running the instances for that role.

So if any of the projects referenced by the AzureCloudServiceProject has any references to any DLLs that are not available in Azure those references should be automatically be marked with CopyLocal=true so that if something work on my machine when I develop and debug, it will also work when deployed to Azure.

Of course VisualStudio.com-TFS-BuildServer-Agents-should be of the same osFamily as the one specified in the osFamily so there will be no problem building…

                        • Cloud Explorer login to Azure should be automatic when user is on AzureAD-joined Windows 10 device

When I'm logged in to my windows 10 AzureAD-joined device using an Azure login I shouldn't have to enter credentials when using Azure Cloud Explorer. That's the point of AzureAD-join.

                          • Display project name in Azure Tools upgrade dialog

When opening solution containing Azure projects and only newer version of Azure Tools is installed, there is displayed the upgrade dialog (se attachment) as many times how many Azure projects within the solution. It is confusing when dealing with projects you haven't worked on. Either add project name to the dialog text or display it only once and apply to all.
