I suggest you ...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

    • Show teammates checkouts when using local workspaces

Currently when a team uses individual workspaces any checkouts are only visible to the person who did the checkout. This causes unwanted merge conflicts and also makes it impossible for a team lead to determine if all changes are checked into TFS before doing a build. It should be a simple matter to track checkouts at the server level and deliver that information on a get latest or checkout request to the client. A simple fix could alleviate a lot of headaches.

              • Allow to specify platform specific dependencies of a platform independent DLL

Currently, architecture independent assemblies cannot specify references to architecture dependent assemblies, even if those exist for all desired architectures (e. g. SharpSVN).

There are ugly workarounds using the assemblyresolve event at the appdomain, but those fail when the target assemblies happen do exist in the GAC.

What I need is a way to create an "CIL" assembly which references both the x86 and Amd64 version of SharpSVN, and decides at runtime which of them is the right one to load.

                • reintroduce the option IgnoreColumnOrder in Schema Compare

Please re-introduce the option to IgnoreColumnOrder when doing a Schema compare, as the task of copying large tables into temp tables and back again is tedious and takes a huge amount of time.

                  • Ignore certain tags like <# and #> in Visual Studio XML editor

I would like to have an option to ignore certain tags like <# and #> in Visual Studio XML editor. There are some languages like BIML Script that mixes XML and C#.

                    <ExecutePackage Name="EPT - <#=row["name"]#>">

But then the XML obviously gets corrupt, because the brackets are not opening and closing one after the other. This will lead in losing formatting and even worse losing intellisense.

It looks a bit like the good old ASP 3.0 where html tags where mixed with asp <% %> tags.

There are online BIML editors that have no problems:
                    http://bimlscript.com/Develop

                    Also see MSDN Forum…

                    • Add Id's to the HTML element tags generated in the LightSwitch HTML Client

if you look at the generated DOM in a typical LS HTML page, none of
the tags have any ID attributes, even though the elements are named in the LS Designer. This makes it not convenient to access elements of our choosing in our JS code, e.g. I want to alter the text of an element from the listener of another element.

Please consider adding ID (or Name) attributes for all elements that exist in the Designer.

                          • keep it simple

Usually, the expected interface options for a solutions are:
                            +add
                            +select
                            +update
                            +delete

I think anyone would expect to find these basic options in the TFS service - projects.
                            Regards,

We can´t valite business rules involving a color change in the UI. Ex, if the balance is negative, the color of textbox where you see the balance is red.

                                    • To improve the Windows Forms richtextbox to the WPF one

The curren windows forms richtextbox is very awkward to work with, and when you create a rich text file editor with it, the windows forms richtextbox is responsible to many bugs.

A richtextbox improvement in windows forms can make the creation RTF editor easier.

                                      • Implement the features missing in natvis that autoexp.dat used to provide

The new natvis framework brings some improvements over autoexp.dat but sadly some key features from autoexp.dat have been lost, making it ****** and in some cases impossible to visualise types in natvis that could easily be visualised using autoexp.dat.

                                        1. The loss of the $c notation means that it is no longer possible to reference the container object when defining the next pointer in a linked list. It is therefore not possible to correctly visualise a linked list that is teminated with an 'end node' held by the container because its address is not accessible at the point where it…

                                        • Add reports for Business Value

We need to encourage teams to get the Product Owner to use the "Business Value" field.

                                          1. Rename the current "Velocity" report to "Velocity for Effort"
                                          2. Add a new report "Velocity for Business Value"

The 2 attachments show what I would like to see...
