Make Javascript Editing Best-in-Class

Some extensions are now available from Visual Studio Gallery that improve the Javascript editing experience; please fold all those enhancements into VS.Next. Also, "right-click Go to Declaration" (currently offered by ReSharper) is basic-enough that it should also be in VS proper. Give us a VS-native method to declare #regions. Provide more options for formatting, etc. in the Options dialog. As a general mantra, it would be great if you could try to bring the Javascript-editing experience as much as possible on a par with the C# editing experience.

Thanks for your feedback – we continue to compare the JavaScript editing experience with other languages to evaluate features that make sense to bring over to JavaScript.

With the release of Visual Studio 2012 we’ve addressed a number of the items in this post. If there are specific items from this post you’d still like to see in the product and don’t see now, please either add your vote to that idea if it is already on this site or create a new idea for voting.
