I suggest you ...

Fix this site so I can continue to put in ideas even when I don't have votes

The idea that the cream rises to the top and is indicated by the number of votes that an idea gets is genius. However, limiting the number ideas that I can put into the system because I am out of votes is cutting off the idea pipeline prematurely. I need to be able to put in ideas as they come to me just like I am filling a backlog. Just because I have an idea that I don't vote on doesn't mean that it isn't important to me, it means that it isn't important to me right now.

Limit number of votes is a bad idea. Instead of express the filling, is the idea sounds good for me, I have to think, how many votes I have left, should I remove my previous vote, is one suggestion more important than other, should I vote more for my own idea or support other's idea. You force users to compare apple with oranges. A person who concern about one thing, will put 10 votes in his idea, but people who over time are interesting in multiple issues, will suffer from this limitation. It will reduce total feedback on this site.

I suggest that votes for each idea( without total limit) to choose 1 to 5 points (from not important to desperate) will be much better.
P.S. i decided to write comment for this suggestion, because I don' t want to spend my votes for separate suggestion -completely remove vote limits.

I have looked for a way to allow additional ideas when you are out of votes, or a way to submit an idea without voting for it - I don't see it, but I'll ask their support if there is a way I can set the site up to do that.

Just to be clear. I am not asking for more votes I am asking for the ability to put in more ideas. I would like the process of putting in an idea to be seperated from voting on the same idea. I might have 10 ideas and I only want to support 3 of them right now because those are the 3 that matter to me the most. What I am hearing you say is that you are only interested in those three ideas and you do not want to hear about the other 7.

We were thinking about this site as a way for users to surface their top requests, which is why I have it set at 10 votes. If this turns out to be a popular idea, we can make it a littel higher. But our initial goal was to make sure we are not missing the biggest requests for VS.
