I suggest you ...

Organize work items in a visual / Pivot Like manner on different (custom) dimensions

Different groups in the organization want to organize work items in a different fashion. For example Product Managers want to organize work items on releases, Scrum Champions on different Scrum teams, Scrum Masters on Iterations, Team Members on Priority, Testers on Triage, Project Managers on Assigned To etc. etc.

It would be great if you could create some kind of pivot tool where you select a multi-value work item field (ALLOWED VALUES). The different values are then shown in swimming lanes. On the left side you can then create a work item query that gives you all the work items that you want to reorder or reorganize. Then...Drag/Drop .

This is a great suggestion. in the vNext of the product, we are providing you a fit-for-purpose experience which pivots that tasks you have assigned to the current sprint by user story and by team member. However, a generic pivot view is still on our backlog.
