REMOVE "ALL CAPS"
Remove "all caps" in the toolbox´s titles.
As Andrew McDonald suggests, we’ll close this item, as it referred to the all caps in Beta. Please refer to the link below to vote to remove the all caps in RC. Closing this item will return your votes from this item.
thanks,
Doug Turnure – Visual Studio PM

This issue was for the pane titles. Those are no longer all-caps, so this issue can be closed and user votes returned. There's another one for the menu bar items:

(a duplicate suggestion that should be combined)
Guys
I can't understand the problem...the UI looks fine to me. The same thing exists on tfspreview.com and no-one has whinged about it
Notwithstanding that, too much energy has been wasted on it, and no doubt will continue too so, so a checkbox should be added to Tools | Options
That said, I feel sad.
· You do know that a company should *not* be disjointed… that they should try to be consistent with other areas. If Win8 is going to have a metro style, then the VS team should try to follow along (even if they have *not* been told to by Steven Sinofsky· You do know that the amount of comments/complaints about this minor issue, causes Microsoft DevDiv staff to have meetings discussing if they should budge on this…. When they should be focusing on bugs and performance issues.

To all these idiots complaining about all caps: It's no ****** to read than regular case, and if you think it is you need your eyes examined.

I develop with Visual Studio everyday... I find the abstraction and colorlessness of the new studio VERY annoying and hard to work with. If it wasn't for Framework 4.5, I wouldn't be using it. I really hope they add an option to use the old theme. I don't think I'll stay quiet about this issue (ever) until someone fixes it, even if that has to be me. Please remove the all caps thing. The program should improve readability, not looks.

Just remove ALL CAPS. Don't move them somewhere else.

Is there a release date known yet for RC or Final?

I liked the UPPER CASE in toolbar headers in beta! In rc is menubar uppercase instead. In this case, beta was better in my opinion

RC is better in many respects, but worse when it comes to the menu bar. I feel my eyes constantly being drawn to the menu bar now because of the caps... and quite frankly, it is not very often I feel the need to have my attention drawn to that particular part of the user interface.

RC is slightly better, but these caps are ugly. Where are from your designers? :(((

And please look at the comments below, each and every developer commented below simply wants Microsoft to bring back the "Title Case", possibly everywhere!
I will be very much surprised to see the release candidate with "ALL CAPS" as I'm pretty sure it to be a an irritating usability issue, clearly communicated to the development team.

I'd suggest the VS Team to remove the "ALL CAPS" not only from Toolbox but also from main menu.
Please note that the "Title Case" is more readable any day - Any UI expert will agree to that ;)
Any standards against the usability needs to be simply ignored, the developers are forced to use visual studio anyday, but they will embrace it with heart if the IDE is more usable than feeling embarrassed of working with it.
The decision of using "ALL CAPS" to me is a bit embarrassing, and unforturnate.

Good news: MS really listens to the users voice. Take a look at the RC's UI:
