Coded UI Test must support Silverlight 5
Since Silverlight 5 was released, many of my clients are upgrading their systems to Silverlight 5. This causes me to stop running automated tests. Then, existing test scripts with Coded UI Test become useless and of course, I have to add more resources to manual test force.
This is unacceptable. I don't understand why Coded UI Test falls behind the latest technology introduced by Microsoft yourself.

When I tried this plugin for testing our Silverlight 5 Project, "the record action has been discarded" shows up all the time. I would agree the saying: it is not an official release because it is not working well.

Coded UI tests must support Silverlight 5 in Visual Studio 2012 because Silverlight 5 is getting more and more popular. If it is not supported, I don't think MTM can play an important role.

VS 11 supports creating SL 4 projects, it should also support automated testing them. Its very frustrating to see this feature dropped and Metro given higher priority in the automation testing roadmap than Silverlight, considering the developer community's investment in SL.

I am doing a Silverlight 5 project as well. I have requested a Ranorex Licence because of the poor support in Visual Studio. I would recomend downloading a trial version of Ranorex and trying it with silverlight 5

Visual Studio 11 should support codedUI for Silverlight, otherwise vNext is a huge step backward for quality testing.
