Customize Process Template on Visual Studio Online
In Visual Studio Online, allow the ability to change the current process template a created project is using as well as the ability to upload your own process templates to create new projecsts with.
It seems like hosted TFS service does not yet support process template customization.
Can you please allow that ...like work type definition edit using Power Tools 2012.
So that I can export file locally...edit the WIT (work item types),edit the wit and import the edited WIT tlo the service.
Please do let me know if it's supported.
It doesn't seem to be supported for me.
Should be self-explanatory, but if an owner wants additional fields on a Bug work item for How Found, Customer, etc, then they can do it. If they want a Request work item for feature requests, then they can do that as well.
I currently don't see a way to do this on the TFSPreview.com site.
ALl scrum teams where I have been in the dashboard there is always a To be tested column, or a To Verify column. At least that part of the process template should be editable or customizable.
At the moment, this is an impediment for my team to use tfs preview.
The tfspreview.com hosted TFS solution is great, but we cannot save changes made via the process editor. So we are stuck with the default states and transitions for workitem types.
There is still no way to track work items using witadmin command tool for TFS on Azure, suggest implement this feature.
Need the feature to be able to migrate online. We have a couple of work item types that have to be there to maintain auditing for HIPAA and SOX compliance.
This has been a huge issue on the last couple projects. The team is frustrated without this ability to match the work items to our process. Even the ability to define a couple work item types, rename them and add status values would be a big help.
We need to be able to add "Ready to Test" to the Bug work items.
no bugs in the backlog view is a problem for my team too. i think we're going to use tags to mark certain user stories as bugs for now.
Need this too....who thought it was a good idea to make bugs not show up in the agile template in the backlog view?
We badly need this feature!

One size does not fit all. We need to be able to customize TFS in order to support our process verse altering our processes to fit a tool. Very poor decision Microsoft.
Currently trying to use VSO without the custom templating and we are constantly running into process issue. This is really a vital functionality

IT is very very limiting trying to work without being able to add some custom flieds or not being able to add some new states

I actually didn't realize you couldn't do this. This is important functionality to have.
This is VERY important - we need to be able to separate our pools of stories and tasks in a clear way that is meaningful to us - and the current drop-list options don't come close to cutting it. Please allow for customization ASAP. THX
The Stone Roses - What the World Is Waiting For
TFS online is a great product for all team sizes. To be able to customize process template will help more people to embrace it and exiting one migrating to the online version. Please expedite this and provide some comments on its availability.

Please fix this issue! This is preventing us from migrating.

Lack of this prevents us migrating from JIRA.
We're using AWS to host a TFS server in the cloud as a workaround to this issue. This is the only thing stopping us from using the TFS service.

It is quite difficult to understand how Microsoft would release VSOnline without including this ability that is used extensively by companies
What is more unbelievable is that Microsoft does not post any roadmap on these missing feature nor makes any comment
Is this feature is enabled in Visual Studio Online yet or not .. Please let me know, as I have to migrate our Organization on premise TFS to the Cloud TFS and without having this feature, it's not at all possible.

I'm torn here. I need this feature to move our organization too however, I've always wished our org would stick much closer to the OOB templates. That said, we won't be moving our 100+ developers until we're able to customize.
