Bring back the "Before building" options in VS2012
In earlier versions, there was a dropdown in Tools | Options that let me choose whether or not I wanted to save files when building. It would be very useful to have this back. (VS2012 always saves when building.)
I also agree. This is a good way for me of verifying there are no unintended edits/fat fingers about to be saved.
Agreed. There are legitimate reasons to build/run without automatically saving changes to every open file. This has been an option since at least the VS 6.0/VB days. The OnRunOrPreview value remains in .settings and its exports, it just doesn't do anything now. Why? What possible reason was there to remove this working feature? Please put it back.
