Make notifications extensible

In VS 2013 you guys added notifications:

Many extensions would benefit from a uniform notification system.

I work on Code Review extension, and I'd love my users to know when new comments have been made, when folks sign off on the review and what not.

This seems like such a central feature - it deserves extensibility.

        I am developing extensions for code review notification. The backend is ready and I thought I could use VS Notification ability. Since API is not available I will need to create my own way :-(.

        Couldn't agree more! This would really boost productivity, I don't want to receive emails when somebody submits code review, instead if visual studio could receive that notification it would be great, it should be like that. Another example is integrating with new tfs features such as chat rooms.
