I suggest you ...

Work much closer with Resharper team, to make Resharper much faster, and to make it consume much less resources.

Resharper is probably the most complex and most helpfull VS addin. It drammatically affects VS performance, so, it will be great if both teams will work close to make overall experience much better. NOTE: Rehsrper consumes huge amount of resources as well.

I'd consider the possibility of having an slow addon warning panel much like the one introduced in IE 9. It seems telemetry tools are being added to V.next of VS, so it would seem a nice leverage of that data to report slowness to the user either immediately or on startup in similarly low impact manner (i.e. don't grab focus be easily dismissable).

R# is a super popular addin and dramatically slows down VS startup. This situation certainly impacts negatively the VS startup issue many are complaining about.

Through he VSIP program R# guys and VS guys should meet and see how the R# bulk code (>40MB of dlls) load could be smartly deferred when the user is choosing a sln / loading a sln / starting work with a sln.
