Dear Microsoft ... We would love a Visual Studio with C# that can compile code that runs on the Raspberry Pi, Beaglebone, Arduino etc .... It will win over the hearts of millions of enthusiasts ... Thank you for giving us a forum to express our point of view!

Yes, launch Visual Studio for Linux.

If you have already launched Visual Studio for Mac (which is based on MonoDevelop), you can launch Visual Studio for Linux (since it would also be based on MonoDevelop).

Windows is a great system for end users, but just like Microsoft fes the azure cloud in linux, it is undeniable that for development, linux is the most appropriate operating system. Taking visual studio for Linux would mean more developers using .NET, by the way, I'm forced to develop in other IDEs, because you can not keep switching from OS all the time. Please support visual studio for linux!

This is the last reason why I still have a Windows box at home (gaming excepted).

Initial releases should be limited to the favorites. Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS... or after these distributions are released, make the distributions open sourced on github. That way the can be forked into the desired flavor.

I would like Visual Studio in Linux! That´s great! VSCode is a very good option, but Visual Studio is a full IDE for universal developments.

I´m loving .Net Core and Asp.Net Core
