Stop signing me out of Visual Studio! (and MSDN)
Pretty much every time I fire up Visual Studio I get greeted by the little yellow warning symbol asking me to re-enter my credentials.
I check the 'Remember my details' box (or whatever equivelent) but it makes little difference.
I work on two different computers (one at work and one at home) but do not consider this to be that unusual a set-up.
Incidentally I find that when F1'ing to get help, the MSDN page often asks me to sign in. I use Chrome as my daily driver browser but again this should be a fairly typical scenario.
I don't mind signing in to give feedback, roam my preferences etc. However I do mind getting nagged to enter my username and pssword every time I open up VS!
We’ve made several significant improvements to our service that will keep you signed in to the IDE. Read more on the Visual Studio blog.
Thank you for your feedback.
Near 2019, the problem is still here. FIX IT!
it is signing me out repeatedly. there isn't fixed or completed anything
This must be a really really hard problem to solve. It cant even remember my username.

I'm getting this issue with each VS IDE launch. So annoying!
this is not completed Mr Admin. Log in every 12 hours? Maybe. Opening VS, logging in, then closing it and having to repeat one minute later is a bug. Save my credentials please.
Fábio Franco commented
True, I still observe the same annoying behavior.

I have same issue as others below. I'm forced to refresh my credentials every time I reboot.

Dear Visual Studio Team,
You haven't resolved a **** thing. I get the yellow warning triangle that I am not signed in nearly every time I start Visual Studio. Stop lying.
Mark Kamoski commented
This is still an issue, for me.
Still happening and I see no resolution!

I'll post a second comment, since it doesn't seem like I can edit my previous comment. If it's of any value to Microsoft, I'm signed in to my personal Live account on my work PC, but have a separate work account that I'm signed in to Visual Studio with. I don't know if that's the issue, but it shouldn't be, regardless.

Glad, if that's the right word, to see that it's not just me. Yup. Microsoft, you need to fix this, please.

Painful experience for me. I know you want to see if I have license for your product. And it is your right to do so.
But please make it cache for at least 10 days. Please.

Yup, this is driving me nuts as well.
I use 2FA and as a previous poster noted the "I sign in frequently on this device" makes no difference at all.
How can MSFT let this insanity go on...
Open source VB6 programming and VBA programming...

Something definitely needs to be done about this, VS2015 is great, but this really makes me hate it a bit every morning! I'm also using 2FA, which makes it an extra pain.
Not to mention that I use 2FA, so after I log in to VS 2015, I have to fire up the authenticator app and look up the six-digit number. And then I check "I sign in frequently on this device." And then it makes no difference, because next time I have to use the authenticator again.

Shall be improved
