  1. Xbox One Gamepad Emulator

    Xbox One gamepad is an important input controller for Xbox One consoles. I am developing a UWP app. Xbox One is one of the supported devices. However, I don't really have a Xbox One console and I have no intend to buy one, because I seldom play Xbox One games. Unfortunately, some UWP APIs for Xbox One can't be simulated through keyboard on PC, especially XYFocus* properties related to Xbox One gamepads. I think if Microsoft wants more UWP developers to develop apps for Xbox One, it should provide a Xbox One gamepad emulator for PC, not let developers to…

    • add all calendars (wpf)

      Hi
      When writing the following code in (WPF) does not accept an error
      <DatePicker CalendarIdentifier="UmAlQuraCalendar" />

      It turns out that the “DatePicker” supports only the Gregorian calendar.
      Hopefully support all the calendars in (WPF)

      • Build a GUI for the Desktop App Converter.

        Please build a GUI for the Desktop App Converter as your current command line tool is not clear how to use it.

        Or better yet, just allow Desktop Apps to be sold in the Windows Store so you do not have to bother with UWP since I hate XAML.

        • Indent XAML Attributes when pressing the "Format The Document" (Ctrl+E,D) Button

          When using the "Format The Document" (Ctrl+E,D) Button, the XAML is reformatted with correct indentation, but the properties are left as is. I typically put each attribute on it's own line like this:
          <Border
          Margin="5"
          Padding="5"
          BorderBrush="#FF1963A9"
          BorderThickness="2"
          CornerRadius="5"
          Background="#FFD0F3FF">

          When I use the reformat button becuase I inserted a grid for instance, and want to push everthing back, the tag line gets moved to the correct place, but the attributes are left where there were. It would be nice to have the attributes lined up with one tab indented from the opening tag.

            • Make Live Unit Testing available for UWP applications

              It would be good if live testing was enabled for UWP applications, so that a similar development environemnt could be set up like NCrunch. Currently there doesn't seem to be a way to include UWP class libraries in externally hosted containers to enable Live Testing from different unit test projects -- or include portable class libraries in a UWP application that could be tested differently.

              • In the VS 2015 Designer, please provide device sizes and resolutions for Microsoft-produced devices (for example, the Surface Pro 4)

                Though Microsoft does want us to build apps for other devices, it seems that you would also want us to build them for your devices. Providing devices for these by default would help. For example, I was looking for the Surface Pro 4 (Screen: 12.3" Resolution: 2736 x 1824), but it isn't present. At this point, Microsoft doesn't produce that many devices that it would clutter the list of possible devices. Thanks for your considerations! :-)

                • IntelliSense & Property Window support for x:Uid editing

                  This suggestion is migrated to Developer Community. Please use below link to view the current status.
                  https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/351409/intellisense-property-window-support-for-xuid-edit.html
                  It would be nice if the XAML editor would support IntelliSense for x:Uid. In the attached example a dropdown with the values buttonLogin, inputLogin and inputPassword would be shown.

                  Editing of the x:Uid in the property window would also be nice. It should also show a drop down list.

                  • Disable light dismiss when XAML selector is active

                    While the XAML selector and ability to see a live visual tree is extremely useful when debugging XAML there is a gap when dealing with flyouts and popups with light dismiss enabled. You can select an element to look at it, but when you click back on VS to inspect the properties the flyout closes (because the app lost focus) and the visual tree changes so you can no longer inspect the properties. Basically, I'm looking for a way to inspect the elements on a popup/flyout.

                    • Simple one, the dark theme's highlighted lines are not in contrast enough to find easily.

                      https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/351161/simple-one-the-dark-themes-highlighted-lines-are-n.html
                      When I click on an object in the display, and it highlights the object in the xaml code while using the dark theme, I can barely find the highlighted line, because the contrast between highlighted and not highlighted is very faint. I proposed a more bold highlight.

                      • VS2015 Xaml Editor

                        There is a current issue with the VS 2015 XAML editor and performance. When you have several editors open at the same time (which is a common use case to have 10+ xaml documents open at once) the IDE starts hanging and crashing.

                        I have VS 2015 update 1, could you please fix the performance of this set of tools? We have a XAML app and it sucks to edit in xaml all day.

                                • Let us edit the same XAML file across multiple screens and windows

                                  Right now the XAML tools only let you show the Design view, the XAML view, or both on the same monitor. -- There is no way to split the view across multiple monitors.

                                  Please let us open the same file twice within Visual Studio, so that in one window we can see the live designer preview, and in the other we can see the XAML code.

                                  The two need to be synchronized, such that as you edit the XAML code, the designer on the other screen's window is immediately synchronized (just like how it works now on one screen).

                                  And…

                                  • Allow deployment of UWP apps like wpf or forms desktop apps

                                    1: For every minor change in code one should not have to 'stop the app' and 'start the app' as it is far from convenient. Even with very high-end cpu/ssd I have to wait a while for this process, while I can build and run the executable instantly on wpf.

                                    2: Only being able to upload to store is meaningless. Seriously, EVERYONE wants the ability to host the project in their website. Look at MacOS for example. There is bazillion number of apps on MacOS, yet very few of them (comparatively) are on the store.

                                    • Allow to combine XAML and C# simmilar to JSX

                                      I would love to see this (and considering popularity of ReactJS many others as well):

                                      <Button Click={ViewModel.DoSomething} />
                                      <Button Click={(o, e) => ViewModel.DoSomething} />

                                      <ListBox ItemsSource={ViewModel.Items.Where(....)} />

                                      <StackPanel>
                                      {ViewModel.Items.Select(item =>
                                      item.HasData ? <TextBlock Text={item.Name} /> : <Separator />
                                      }
                                      </StackPanel>

                                      • Reload option on xamarin forms previewer

                                        Each time I need to reload the xamarin.forms previewer, I need to close and re-open the XAML file each time the render fails. It would be much easier to have an option to reload the previewer within the previewer.

                                        • Please change the XAML highlighting color in Visual Studio Dark Theme.

                                          When selecting a control in the Visual Studio WPF Designer the XAML code i highlighted with a color very close to the background color.

                                          Could you please make it customizable or select a color that makes a better contrast.
