Stop reminding us to change settings to improve performance. Even when we select ignore, this keeps coming up and is extremely annoying.1 vote
Don't clear platform each time the target operating system is changed in xamarin projects.
I toggle regularly between platforms and OS and It is a pain to have to select operating system then architecture. If I select in the other order it clears the **** architecture and I end up targeting the wrong platform....
Please change this it drives me crazy.1 vote

If Live Unit Testing showing branches of block covered or not means that could be helpful. Currently it just shows line coverage.

Instead of forcing Visual Studio closed when the Visual Studio License cannot be renewed, downgrade the user's visual studio back to community edition.
The reason for this suggestion is because my MSDN Subscription is messed up (have an open case with Microsoft) but until it is fixed, I am getting the attached window when I launch Visual Studio. It would be better to just revert my visual studio back to community edition.1 vote
Mutation Testing Tools like VisualMutator was extremely useful in analyzing the coverage of Unit Tests. However, it looks like VisualMutator is not supported in VS2017. This would be a great feature to have.1 vote

The way Visual Studio 2017 is installed and configured....some of the "workload" functionality ends up being implemented via additional Extensions.
However when looking through the list of Installed extensions...it is hard to distinguish between ones that were put there as part the original Visual Studio installation steps.....and ones that have been put there later by the user, or by 3rd party additions (e.g. jetbrains, etc).
I think it would be useful to have a category which groups together all extensions that were originally installed as part of the Visual Studio 2017 "release".1 vote
Once an Override is selected via the Intellisense, add support for a key that would insert the Named Parameter Names (preferably one per line). Let's face it, code that has a bunch of Method Calls with even more than one Parameter that's not obvious from the Method name is significantly less readable, time-consuming (if you're having to look up the Method Signatures) and even error-prone (if Parameters are added / changed / removed). Even without a Snippet feature, I strongly believe the increase in ease of comprehension / time savings / potential error avoidance (for the life of all the times it will need to be read by all the developers (incl. myself) that will need to read it) are worth the few seconds of manually looking up and copying the Method Signature when coding every Call. Adding this Snippet feature should eliminate any excuses (however unfounded) that other developers would have (which I believe are almost all of them would but only because they only see the short-term costs vs. long-term benefits).

Currently the installer always changes the display language to Windows default after updating itself. Maybe better to keep previous setting.1 vote

The layout for offline setup for all version of visual studio are almost the same and are approx 34.8GB in size. There should be a command by which one can make an offline setup layout for all the version of #VisualStudio in a single folder i.e Enterprise, Professional and Community.1 vote

I appeared the system thread and want it to break.
And the green arrow at this line shows"this is the next statement to execute when this thread returns from the current function component"
I did nothing but only add this component in my form.
How can I fix this problem?1 vote
Can you use Yandex or Google search on your site?
Your own search engine can't find description of
"Visual Studio 2017 Exception settings".
And every time I can't find something on Microsoft site - I search (and find) it in Yandex.1 vote
Every day on first opening VS 2017 (15.3 26510.0-Preview) it prompts me to sign-in with an existing account or select an alternative. Unfortunately for me, VS has remembered an account that I no longer use day-to-day.
It would save time if the VS could remember multiple accounts when prompting for a password and give the option to remove accounts no longer in use.1 vote
Please accomodate son of MSBUILD to include streaming project and source files to the build system.1 vote
Building from .ilproj and .il files perhaps isn't a common use case, but it does cover some possibilities not available otherwise. Monodevelop and sharpdevelop (via an extension) support this, and there was an extension that gave some support in visualstudio 2015, but unless I'm missing an option I should have installed we can't open them in visualstudio.1 vote
Show the "Installed Size" of our Visual Studio 2017 Installations after they are installed so we know much space each component is consuming. It's a small thing but I think it would be nice. Thanks for reading.1 vote
