Support for online/offline database sync for field devices without internet access
It would be great if there was official support for Microsoft-Sync (or similar technology) so field devices (or laptops without internet access) could use LightSwitch apps offline and sync once they were back online.
Thank you for your suggestion on improving LightSwitch. However, Visual Studio 2015 is the last release of Visual Studio that includes the LightSwitch tooling and we recommend users not begin new application development with LightSwitch. That said, we will continue to support users with existing LightSwitch applications, including critical bug fixes and security issues as per the Microsoft Support Lifecycle. We will build more and more apps after this support is added, because I am sure users will very love it
Long Live Lightswitch!!

We, LightSwitch developers, are forgotten by Microsoft...
This is a critical feature.

Can JayData be transparent to developers? Or lots of coding and configuration is involved?
Andy Smith commented
JayData seems to be promising for Lightswitch.
I think the offline support should be totally transparent to developers. Developers shouldn't need to write any code and do lots of configurations to make it work.
The online/offline support should "just work", it should be well tested, and it should decrease, not increasing development time

Just compare the user voices in this site:

Windows 8 Apps 153
We need more support on Lightswitch from Microsoft! Especially the offline sync support!
This would certainly complete the LS tool that would allow it to compete with all the occasionally connected developer platforms(some free) on the market today.
Microsoft, please wake up, I want to use your products......

Lightswitch is definitely the development tool with best productivity by far!
We definitely need the offline support!

I really believe this is so important. The reason we love Microsoft is that she can make offline rich client so powerful and so productive that no other companies can. If microsoft only want to compete online apps, Microsoft is forgetting her power.
We need offline/online sync! EVERYONE needs it!

I think this online/offline support will make lightswitch the best development tool on earth:
The best productivity, true universal platform independent!
And it still uses the Microsoft platform on the server end!
I would love to use lightswitch if it can support offline sync
This is really useful, please add the support!
Can someone from the VS LS team comment? There are several scenarios where Win7 tablets are used in the field - but they need to work in a offline/disconnected mode and come back to sync.
