add "track active item" feature not only in Solution Explorer but also in class View
in "Tools > Options > Projects and Solutions > General" you can set "track active item in Solution Explorer". This feature allow you to see always your current location of the editing file within the project.
Same feature would be nice for class view, too.
Thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion. This item has been around for a couple of versions of Visual Studio and we haven’t acted on it. Looking at the VS “15” plans, we’re not going to take action on this item, so we’re going to close it. If the suggestion is still relevant, please either take a look to see if there’s another suggestion that’s similar that you can vote on, or open a new suggestion.

It is just mind blowing to me that this isn't the default behavior. I really don't even need the entire top half of the class view panel. I'm already selecting my file / class in the solution explorer, I just want the class view to show me the class view. Seems obvious.
Agreed. This would be a time saver. I have to manually search the solution explorer or class view for the class / file I'm editing tens of times a day.
Yup, I want an easy way to see all my methods and jump to them. Class View kind of provides this, but it's a pain to have to navigate through it again when I move to a different class.

Just about every other IDE has this.
