Allow windows that auto-hide to be dismissed by pressing the Escape key even when mouse is over it
Tool windows that are set to auto hide (like Find Results) should get dismissed by pressing the Escape key regardless of the current mouse position. This used to work correctly in editions of Visual Studio prior to VS 10.
This seems to be a general problem with the handling of mouse input where the current position of the mouse causes issues even when the input is via the keyboard. As another example, when the context menu is invoked via the keyboard menu button, the item under the current position of the mouse gets selected, interfering with keyboard navigation of the menu.
Thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion. This item has been around for a couple of versions of Visual Studio and we haven’t acted on it. Looking at the VS “15” plans, we’re not going to take action on this item, so we’re going to close it. If the suggestion is still relevant, please either take a look to see if there’s another suggestion that’s similar that you can vote on, or open a new suggestion.

It seems a very subtle change, but it is very annoying. It would be great to recover the old behavior.
