Add colors to tabs based on pinned-state, different projects or your own look and feel
Since the new Visual Studio has a lot less color, I don't mind BUT my tabs look all the same and miss some visual structure.
Maybe it would be nice to assign you own colors to your tabs, different colors for pinned & not pinned- states or different colors for each project!
Thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion. This item has been around for a couple of versions of Visual Studio and we haven’t acted on it. Looking at the VS “15” plans, we’re not going to take action on this item, so we’re going to close it. If the suggestion is still relevant, please either take a look to see if there’s another suggestion that’s similar that you can vote on, or open a new suggestion.

You can assign colors by project type using the 2013 Productivity Power Tools, but this is not support for pinned types for example. Leaving this suggestion open for others to vote on adding color to pinned tabs.

I am missing it in VS 2013 too

This was available with Productivity Power Tools 2012, but I am missing it in VS 2013...
Color per file type and color per project would both be nice.
