Increase the maximum length of the name of a topic subscription
Currently, the name of a subscriber to an Azure Service Bus topic is limited to 50 characters. We would like to use very descriptive names for our subscribers, and these names might exceed 50 characters. Please increase the maximum length of this value.
If this feedback is still relevant – please recreate it in the Azure feedback forum for Service Bus: https://feedback.azure.com/forums/216926-service-bus

What the heck? Of course this is still relevant! Why are you closing it? Just hoping we forgot? I tell you, if half the people here aren't blowing more votes on an identical feedback topic, it's because they switched off of ASB! Come on, guys...

Since this was closed by the VS team, I've recreated this issue in the Azure feedback forum for Service Bus as instructed:

Sorry that we didn't address this explicitly as of yet.
The path can get very long. Here's the head of the message collection for a topic:
We need to put a reasonable cap onto the length of each user-configurable segment, 50 characters accommodates a UUID string plus headroom, so it's hard to imagine that this is a real blocker. I'll be happily convinced otherwise with good examples.

What's the status of this? I just ran into this problem today!

Its very common in a Event Sourcing env. to have Event/Message names that are very descriptive of their actions, and therefor can easily extend the 50 char limit.
