Send email with query results on a schedule
This suggestion is migrated to Developer Community. Please use below link to view the current status.
On the TFS web portal you are given the option to send the results of a query via email. It would be very helpful to be able to have the results of the query be emailed on a schedule.
I have written a small open source utility, which basically allows you to send a TFS query result to bunch of people via mail.
It accepts some TFS settings (TFS url, TFS project guid, and the query guid), and some mail settings (email addresses, and your smtp server), and do exactly that.
If you want to binaries, just go to the output directory.

When working on large projects with stakeholders using different project methodologies the ability to extract useful information in a communicable way is very important. For traditional projects managers understanding which tasks are blocked and allocated to resources is really useful. Currently, I need to login to Azure Devops and export the query to email manually which isn't ideal.

would love to see this - when working with third parties with different VSO instances it would make life a lot easier

If you guys cannot at least have something other than Change operators in TFS alerts, at least allow this. I can't believe the catch 22 situation I'm stuck in.

As an alternative solution, you can try CatLight (https://catlight.io) that will show the results of the query on a personalized dashboard.
