Publishing Build Artifacts is way too slow
This suggestion is migrated to Developer Community. Please use below link to view the current status.
We are using the Publish Build Artifacts task and it is incredibly slow. We'd like to see this get faster.
This is something we’ve been investigating again recently, marking under review, will update once we have concrete changes coming out of the investigation.

You can try to Publish Build artifacts using task "Publish Pipeline Artifact"
instead of "Publish Build Artifacts" task https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/devops/pipelines/tasks/utility/publish-build-artifacts
I just found your question today and tried another task which is in Preview for today.

I'd recommend a solution to ya'll: index artifact files by hash. Perhaps SHA256. And then skip files which are already uploaded. Then an "artifact" is just a set of files and their hashs. And when you download it, it's all resolved as it should be.
Used in lots of stuff. Git, IPFS, etc.
