I would like to be able to view formatted Jupyter Notebooks in my repositories. Notebooks are commonly and increasingly being used in the areas of Data Science and Statistical Computation and contain live code, equations, visualizations and explanatory text.

    • Migrate Work Items from Project to Project (On-Prem TFS)

This suggestion is migrated to Developer Community. Please use below link to view the current status.
      https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/365655/migrate-work-items-from-project-to-project-on-prem.html
Similar to the "Move" feature in Team Services, we need the ability to migrate work items from one project to another (same collection) keeping history, links, attachments. This includes Test suites, plans, cases, and runs. There are a lot of 3rd party tools, but have not been able to successfully migrate completely with any of them. This should be built into TFS.

Similar to the following User Voice post except for on-prem:

      • Work item template or clone including subtasks

        https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/365579/work-item-template-or-clone-including-subtasks.html
Right now, when creating a work item template or cloning a work item, only the regular work item fields can be included in the template/clone.

I have a situation where I would like templates of tasks that include a good number of subtasks. It would make sense to have the possibility to create the same subtasks list when I apply a template (or clone) for a new user story.

Right now, I must re-enter all the subtasks by hand, for each and every…

        • Add a checkbox in pull request file list for each file to indicate that file has been reviewed

          https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/365746/add-a-checkbox-in-pull-request-file-list-for-each.html
Coming from TFVC in VisualStudio to Git, one thing that makes large pull requests a little more tedious is the lack of the "done" checkbox that a TFVC code review had. Could that be added to git pull requests so that the file collapses (and remembers that you'd done it) and it's easier to come back to a large pull request over the course of a day or so, instead of having to plow through it in one sitting so you don't lose…

I'm not able to find the button in the portal to delete a load test. My list is getting quite cluttered with Load Tests as I try them out a lot, and I would love to be able to delete them from the portal.

Now we can perform a code review on checked in code. But my group does incremental check ins and doesn't want a code review after checking in 4 lines of code. We would like to see code reviews after say, the developer has completed a User Story task or a user story. preferrably a task.

We have a lot of investment taking place on our code review platform, including the ability to review multiple changesets. Adding this for TFVC is still on our backlog, but it is not in our 6 month plan, so we are resetting the status.

We have a branch protected by polies (i.e. successful build and must have two reviewers).

It would be good to have an option on the branch pollicy to allow Auto-Complete to be the default option on new pull-requests

When in the backlog view in Team Web Access, it would be helpful to be able to hide work items that have already been assigned to an iteration. I think this could be accomplished by some sort of option or by being able to modify the backlog query

As explained in this blog post (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/visualstudioalm/archive/2015/10/08/how-we-use-user-voice-to-make-a-better-product.aspx), we had updated the status of this suggestion to “Under Review” to let you know we are tracking it on our backlog. To better indicate which one we are actively working on or which ones are on our 6-month plan, we introduced the states “Started” and “Planned”. The goal is to give an update on in progress suggestions at least every 3 months. This suggestion is still on our backlog, but they are not part of the 6-month plan.

                        • Change default title for pull request commits to not include PR id

Right now, all pull requests generate a commit message that starts with "Merged PR: XYZ". That creates a cluttered commit history for the branch. It is more important to see the description of the changes made than what PR number was used. The PR number should go in the description of the commit if desired.
There should be a way to change the pattern for the default generated commit message for a Git repo in VSO.

We would like to allow for a git flow model. Or a simple branching model with branch permissions such that only team leads are capable of merge (after code review) and developers may only check into their feature/issue branch.

In the past weeks (from 9/6/2016) something changed in build code coverage reporting that strips the stylesheet tags in the head of code coverage reports. Previously, our reports generated with karma and istanbul were displaying perfectly with the included stylesheets. Now, the same coverage artifact displays without any of the included css styles. Looking at the frame source shows all the stylesheet tags stripped from the head section. I'm not sure which recent change in team services started removing this.

I'm very pleased that we can now @mention team members in the Discussion for a work item; however, when I receive the email notification that I've been mentioned, I would like to be able to post my response by replying to the email, so that I don't have to follow the link to the web form in order to reply.

This is important, because many times, I receive these notifications on my phone when I'm not near my computer, and the work item…

                                  • Embed Dashboard Widgets outside of VSTS / TFS

This suggestion is migrated to Developer Community. Please use below link to view the current status.
                                    https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/365549/embed-dashboard-widgets-outside-of-vsts-tfs.html
Would like the ability to embed a TFS widget in a non-TFS web location (i.e. internal SharePoint wiki, Confluence, 3rd party wiki, static HTML page, etc.).

While I like the customization of the TFS dashboards (as of TFS 2015.1), it still requires stakeholders to visit the individual team/project dashboard.

By allowing embedding of TFS widgets into other web-based locations, I have more flexibility to include additional context to stakeholders while leveraging the dynamic capabilities of the TFS widgets.

                                    Thanks,
                                    Matt

To create an order for automated tests, Ordered tests have been the recommended way. However, users have requested automated tests to follow the same order as defined in MTM or the equivalent in Web (for non parallel 1 machine run). Opening this Uservoice item to see how many users would be interested in this functionality.

JIRA (https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira) is an isue tracking product and service used by over 35,000 companies around the world.

The Atlassian JIRA DVCS Connector (see https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/BITBUCKET/Use+the+JIRA+DVCS+Connector+Add-on) allows for users to easily link their JIRA instance to a Bitbucket or GitHub account. This allows for source control commits to be linked to issues and for JIRA to automate workflow based on source control.

I love using Visual Studio Online Git for my source control - but my team already has a significant investment…

                                        • There should be mobile version of web access which let us view/add/delete/edit product backlog. Especially be able to see the business value

Product backlog is managed mainly by the people who sponser the projects/products. There should be an option to manage the product back from anywhere/anytime. A nice mobile app makes perfect sense. Currently I am using tfspreview. Many times I think an idea while eating lunch or on the road. If there was an option to capture these ideas in my product backlog, it will be awesome.
