  1. Cannot create a new project in Firefox

    https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/366241/cannot-create-a-new-project-in-firefox.html
When I wanted to create a new project in the VSTS I couldn't because the button "Create" was not available due to a missing scrollbar in Firefox. In Chrome everything works

  2. Diffing DLLs and Exes should show meaninful diff

    https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/366230/diffing-dlls-and-exes-should-show-meaninful-diff.html
Beyond Compare shows dll metadata when diffing dlls, such as version and date created. VSTS should show the same diffs for exes and dlls.

  3. Support Conversion back from Git LFS

This suggestion is migrated to Developer Community. Please use below link to view the current status.
    https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/366220/support-conversion-back-from-git-lfs.html
When we converted our TFVC repo to Git we converted to Git LFS. We now wish to convert those Git LFS repos to no longer use LFS by rewriting the history of all commits (creating a new Git Repo without LFS that contains all history but with blobs instead of LFS pointers). It would be nice if this was as simple as it was to convert from TFVC to Git LFS.

  4. Make it impossible to approve a pull request when you've commited to that pullrequest.

This suggestion is migrated to Developer Community. Please use below link to view the current status.
    https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/366211/make-it-impossible-to-approve-a-pull-request-when.html
We use branch protection. (Same user cannot approve it's own pull request) At this moment I can grab a pull request from a teammember, make additions, push and approve that pull request.
To prevent this, once a commit by user x has been made to a pull request, he should't be able to approve the same pull request.

Can you please implement a label which would list number of objects on the current page? For example, 6 Files, 2 Folders.

  6. filter to actionable pull requests

This suggestion is migrated to Developer Community. Please use below link to view the current status.
    https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/366185/filter-to-actionable-pull-requests.html
When looking at active pull requests, I cannot filter out pull requests which have already been approved by the chosen creator.

I would like to triage and review pull requests assigned to my team's alias, and since we have dozens, filter out the ones which are not actionable.

  7. Pagina de resolver conflitos não está legal

This suggestion is migrated to Developer Community. Please use below link to view the current status.
    https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/366181/pagina-de-resolver-conflitos-nao-esta-legal.html

  9. Add filter to show only files with comments in Pull Request

This suggestion is migrated to Developer Community. Please use below link to view the current status.
    https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/366168/add-filter-to-show-only-files-with-comments-in-pul.html
Add a quick filter to show only the files with comments. I think this actually used to be a feature a couple years ago that was removed. I have been truly missing that feature. In large pull requests (typically for new feature development). It can be very cumbersome to look through the entire file list to find a particular comment.

  11. Make it possible to disable PR Auto Complete at Repo or Project level

This suggestion is migrated to Developer Community. Please use below link to view the current status.
    https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/366161/make-it-possible-to-disable-pr-auto-complete-at-re.html
Auto complete can be a nice option for finishing a PR and automatically merging the changes. But, an option to disable this for some projects/repos would be desired.

We have a case where completing a merge kicks off a release and if a PR is approved accidentally, we've pushed bad code to master.

  12. VSTS/PR - Required Reviewers when hovering over the reviewer, have the custom message field (if populated) display for the reviewer.

This suggestion is migrated to Developer Community. Please use below link to view the current status.
    https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/366155/vstspr-required-reviewers-when-hovering-over-the-r.html
The Custom Messages field shows up in the comment feed, only to be scrolled down way to the bottom and never seen again (Then users ask us why there's a required reviewer and how they fix it)

We provide custom messages if the required reviewer being added is because of an issue in their branch, disallowed file/type/location or a specific team is needed for signoff and an email to reach them.

The Custom Message should be more apparent and up front to users…

    https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/366146/markdown-side-by-side-git.html
When editing/viewing Markdown in code repositories (in browser, NOT wiki) it would be very helpful to have a side-by-side view/preview of the raw .md and the rendered/pretty markdown file.

  15. Pull Request Trigger Policy

With the new Pull Request Triggers being visible on a Pull Request it would be helpful if each environment was listed instead of just the release headline.

In addition making this park of the branch policy, blocking the completion if any environment fails would be useful for workflow.

  16. Make code PR compare view easier to side scroll

When comparing old vs new code in a Git Pull Request, if the code goes too far to the right it's difficult to scroll horizontally. You need drag the horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the file. If the file has a lot of changes and the scroll bar is below the screen, you need to scroll down, drag scroll bar to the right, then scroll back up to the line you were looking at. It would be much easier if you didn't have to scroll down to get that horizontal scrollbar.

  17. Dependency across multiple repos

This suggestion is migrated to Developer Community. Please use below link to view the current status.
    https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/366140/dependency-across-multiple-repos.html
Build a feature to support syncing of files between repos. Example: foo.cpp is in repo Foo and bar.cpp is in repo Bar. I want to be able to get foo.cpp to sync down when I fetch updates in Bar as well as write back.

  18. Increase the TF400889 the following path contains more than 259 characters limit

This suggestion is migrated to Developer Community. Please use below link to view the current status.
    https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/content/idea/366134/increase-the-tf400889-the-following-path-contains.html
Some of our VS solutions are large due to the nature of the product and explicit naming, so the 259 character limit of the path is absurd when mapping files from TFS to VS. I have had this problem for other projects since it is tied to my local machine's physical path and some files that are generated by VS.

  19. Add more links from http://foo.visualstudio.com/ to useful pages.

If I go to the top-level page for my team's VSO site (http://foo.visusalstudio.com) I see a workitem list but everything else I might want to do is buried and it is cumbersome to navigate to anything else. Consider adding things like...

links to projects (http://foo.visualstudio.com/project1, /project2, etc)
    links to source repositories
    links to my branches

I don't mean "add a click-target that takes me to another click-target that takes me to something useful." I realize that's there already. That's the problem - it's cumbersome.

I'm asking for one-click ways to get to the things I've listed…

  20. Make it possible to comment code in branch the same way as it's possible in PR

Sometimes it would be beneficial to comment a comment in a branch that isn't part of PR (e.g. on mater).
