Linux is way too much fragmented, QT, GTK, not to mention that underlying layers are different from distribution to distribution ?? It's way too much work I'm afraid. But you can use JetBrains Riders which support Android cross-platform development. For IOS you still need a mac.

It would be nice to design object oriented GUIs for OSs like Ubuntu that can be activated from the dash board.

Since Windows 10 is a desktop disaster and not an option in my company, and Microsoft is now blocking updates in Windows 7 on new hardware, the only alternative is Linux.

Is a very good option (and idea) to develop a Visual Studio for Linux in order to migrate all Windows applications.

It will be great oppurtunity if you bring VS to Linux in real since there are a huge Linux users and developers using Linux platforms. Especially for many personel developers this is must be. But this must not be just like VS Code and It must be better than QT Editor/Designer or any other development tools in Linux.

This gets you Mobile Android targeting, and loses ability to target iOS which is probably WHY visual studio for mac (previously xamarin studio) still exists.

To me, on Linux, Visual Studio Code is a much better solution than Xamarin Studio renamed to Visual Studio for Linux.
