Enable visually-impaired developers such as myself to use the Mac edition of Visual Studio, using the in-built VoiceOver screen reader.
When Office for Mac first launched it was totally unusable with VoiceOver but this was fixed in the 2016 edition. I was hopeful that as VS is a new product you'd have built this in from the start but amazingly it doesn't appear even to have crossed your minds.
Hi, Mark - thanks for the vote! We take accessibility very seriously and we've made some initial steps to use the macOS accessibility platform (see Miguel's mention of it in this blog post: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/visualstudio/2017/04/12/visual-studio-for-mac-to-the-cloud-and-beyond/). We'll keep working to improve our support here.
