    On the iteration backlog there are three different types into play: PBIs (or User Stories if you use the Agile template), Tasks and Bugs. Bugs are special because you can configure in your team settings whether Bugs act as PBIs or as Tasks

    In your situation Bugs act as PBIs and some of the Bugs are a child of a PBI. This is a scenario we don’t recommend:
    • The iteration backlog today only shows the leaf nodes, so all Bugs appear to be on the same level and the parent PBIs will not show up on the iteration backlog at all.
    • We have to disable reordering because it can lead to significant unintended changes (happy to talk about this over a beer)

    We have plans to fix this in the future and show the hierarchy on the iteration backlog, and until that time we recommend you to…
