          VB6 did not become the worlds most popular language in its heyday by error. C# has not replaced it as such. Consider this. Really consider this objectively.

          One of the factors that made VB6 this popular was its crazy ease of development. Wide openess too for many IT pros and non-pros to create solutions.

          One of the factors that supressed VB6 and threatens VB.net is what was stated in the request. A "myopic" view of what a language should be. I say let the C# language be for the elitists professional programmers to keep those bean counters happy. Go C#!

          Let VB be for the rest of us.

          Diversity makes us stronger.
