With continuous inspection tools like SonarQube being integrated into builds, this feature is really necessary to execute SQ inspections nightly, but only if source has changed. Java SonarQube is slow enough that it severely impacts build times when its included in a normal CI build.

Update 2/14/2017 – I am happy to announce that we have updated the SlowCheetah extension to work with Visual Studio 2017 and 2015. You can install the extension from the VS marketplace: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=WillBuikMSFT.SlowCheetah-XMLTransforms

We are also in the process of adding support for additional project and file types. For the latest development news for the extension, check out the GitHub repo: https://github.com/sayedihashimi/slow-cheetah

Please let us know if you run into any issues by reporting them at the issue tracker on SlowCheetah’s GitHub page.

Note: if you installed the preview extension for Visual Studio 2015, please be sure to remove it before installing the new one to avoid conflicts.

SlowCheetah on github was just updated a couple days ago, after a few years of being abandoned.

The team has had to shift priorities, and we expect to complete the remaining UI pieces, and finalize the billing model in the April timeframe. Meanwhile, the TrackAvailability SDK is now available in the .NET stable SDK (https://www.nuget.org/packages/Microsoft.ApplicationInsights/).

Please note that when the feature is released as public preview, we may limit the number of tests, and the rate at which you can report results from custom tests. Also, while this will be free for you to try in public preview, there may be a billing implication for continued usage when this feature is generally available.

Please note that pending the UI changes, data sent via the TrackAvailability SDK will ONLY be accessible via the following:
            1. In the Metrics Explorer, the 2 Availability metrics – Availability and Test duration, will be aggregates across all your tests, including custom (reported via SDK) and the AI executed…
